2 Preparedness Workforce Development and Preparation

Workforce Preparedness

Workforce preparedness focuses on military to civilian transition, including learning and understanding corporate culture and practices and their differences or similarities to military culture and practices.

It includes job search strategy, preparing resumes, interviewing skills, and other required skills to find and obtain employment. It also focuses on acclimation, advancement, and workplace skills. These may be offered by government, NGOs, VSOs, or educational institutions, or by business and industry, among others. Some will be available at no cost, others will have some costs or obligations.
