Vocational skills training focuses on short-term, in-person, distance education, and other formats for training or certifying veterans and soon-to-separate military members in specific skills necessary for employment.

These include trainings provided by military service branches as part of Transition GPS, by DoD, VA, and DoL, as well as other government agencies, non-governmental or veteran service organizations, community colleges, colleges and universities, business and industry, or others. They may be credit or non-credit based courses, with costs or at no-cost.
