Socialization Tactics

Socialization is a means for “acquiring the attitudes, behaviors and knowledge needed to successfully participate as an organizational member.” Organizations can employ a variety of tactics that help facilitate the socialization process.  The Society for Human Resources Management recommends several techniques (see “Organizational Entry:  Onboarding, Orientation and Socialization” and Article-Socialization.pdf).
